A consultation is not to provide legal advice, answer legal questions, or to get into the weeds of your case. In order for an attorney to offer legal advice, you have to be a client. During an initial consultation, we will make a determination of whether or not we can help you and what the cost would be to retain us to represent you.
Please note, except for claims for physical injuries sustained in a car crash and claims for unpaid overtime, if we can help you with your particular legal matter, you will have to pay to hire an attorney to represent you. At the same time, we usually charge substantially less than most law firms. Our goal is not to take your last dollar but to provide you real value for your case.
Sadly, hiring an attorney is not realistic for everyone. If you have a civil legal problem but cannot afford to hire an attorney, you still may have access to the legal system through your local legal services or legal aid organization which provides free or low cost legal services to persons with low incomes.
